Cat
While traveling in Spain in 2017, I drew a black cat on the street, which has since become a recurring motif in my art. The main reason for this is its simplicity, allowing easy formation of patterns, playful adaptation to geometric shapes, and color variation. Through the repeated portrayal of the motif across multiple paintings, my goal was a kind of transformation, gradually distancing the cat from the original Spanish animal, the archetypal form.
